Hi guys, I just bought a Ripstik "g" yesterday and I'm enjoying it thoroughly. I've been practicing my balance and I seem to be doing ok when it comes to moving and turning. I ride regular stance. Then I decided to kick it up a notch and try to Ollie for the first time. I really can't seem to make the board go up the ground. So I decided to try a goofy stance, to my amazement I was able to pop the board properly BUT my balance was horrible compared to my regular stance.

So basically my dilemma comes out like this

if I ride regular stance = I have great balance, i can manuver with ease and turn with ease but I can't seem to pop properly.

if I ride goofy stance = My balance sucks and I can't turn as well as I can when I ride regular. But Popping the board to make an ollie seems easier.

Do you guys have this dilemma too? What should I improve on? thanks

You can learn either way I guess, but if you find it easier while in goofy, you may want to learn to ride well in goofy before trying to ollie. Or, you could practice popping in regular until you get it. Either way works.
