Air has griptape, while LX has plastic spikes. Air is light, while LX isn't light at all (I see and hold 'em all the time in Walmart). Of course, the LX is cheap ($50 US) while the AIR is $70 or something from walmart.com (that's where I got my Air). In the end, I say get the Air.
